Corpus Phantasma Crossover: Kira Hikaru Meets Danny Phantom!

  AMITY PARK, OREGON!

A moderately large urban city, reminiscent of Chicago, San Francisco, and/or Philadelphia. The city has several downtown areas with modern skyscrapers and is home to an observatory, City Hall, a major research lab, museum, school system, fire/police departments, restaurants, and stores, including a shopping mall. A river runs next to the city, separating it from nearby towns. Fitting for one of the most haunted states in the country it is also a supernatural hotspot and a hotbed of ghost activity.

The headlights of a motorcycle cut through cool night air in this supernatural town as the great modern horse sped down the road carrying its occupants. A young lady dressed in a black and green motorcycle bodysuit and a skull face black helmet with the mouth visor down. In a fit of irony she had Queen's Made In Heaven Image on the back of her bodysuit although hidden beneath the bag she had on her back carrying her passenger.

"So tell me. How are you enjoying the tour, Kira?" Her passenger asked. Her voice echoing through her mind.

"It's different. The air is thick with supernatural energies and wailing spirits. The energy is everywhere here and I think those are leylines intersecting beneath the ground." She responded. "This place is going to take some getting used to before I can start hunting."

"The good news is that since the town isn't being destroyed we can safely assume that the demon is still in hiding. So we have time to get set up and investigate. Use this time to get used to the town. If you're lucky you'll even get a glimpse of Ghost-Boy!"

"Hmmm. I'd prefer not to drag him into this. The sooner we can find the demon and take it out the better."

"You know he's got quite a lot of experience on his side and he knows the city. I don't care much for goody-goods but he could be useful."

"He's a kid, Lily, I'm not dragging him into this!" Kira insisted firmly. "A kid like that shouldn't get embroiled with Hell. Besides there's no way a teamup would go well. One look at me eating some side monster and it would all fall apart."

"Ehhh, it's a good point but you might be able to wing it for the greater good."

"The greatest good I can do for this kid is to resolve this quickly without him getting involved before anyone gets hurt." She slowed down to stop at a light. "Having said that...do you think if I capture any of the scrubs here on the way out that it will count towards my total?"

"Demons Only. So unless any of the Ghosts are escapees from Hell instead of The Ghost Realm you're out of luck."

"Well damn. That's a shame."

"Exactly. Ain't that a bitch?"

Their conversation was interrupted when she sensed something coming and she paused to look up in the sky. "Something's coming in fast. It's not a demon...it's..."

Loud simultaneous shrieks echoed through the night sky drowning out the city nightlife as a ghastly spectral three headed serpentine creature streaked across the sky while turning its heads back around and firing ectoplasmic energy blasts backwards at the ghostly superhero chasing after it. His hair was snow white, his skin cast in shadow, his eyes glowing green and a faint white glow surrounded him with the cloak of ectoplasmic fire outlining his body. His costume is a black jumpsuit with white boots, collar, belt and gloves with a a white "D" with three ghost trails emblazoned on his chest and the negative space inside it forming a "P," on his chest. The Phantom!

"So that's him, huh?"

"Correct. Kira Hikaru meet Danny Fenton."

She leaned forward onto her motorcycle. "Well alright then, Danny-boy, lets see what you can do."

"Gotta say snakey you are not impressing me tonight! Three heads gives you three times the brains and you still can't hit me!" Danny taunted the three-headed snake ghost as it continued firing its ectoplasmic snake blasts from its mouths only for Danny to dodge them one after the other. "You've got a firepower but you're not much of a fighter! Even Box-Ghost puts up a better-" He cracked up laughing. "Well, okay, couldn't say that with a straight face but seriously? It's time to even the odds! Come on out guys!" Danny glowed with energy and duplicated himself and split out two more Danny's!

(Okay! That's a cool trick!) Kira noted.

The three Danny's teamed up and used their blasts to counter the heads of the snake ghost and put more power into their blasts until they overcame the snakes blasts until they hit the heads of the snake and caused explosions of energy on impact! The snake roared and fell towards the streets below and the Danny's swooped down after it. The two clones sped up ahead of Danny-Prime and one kicked it in the middle of the stomach while the other one flew down in front of it and uppercut it in the center head to launch it back up into the air towards Danny-Prime who caught its tail, swung it around in a big wide circle and threw it up into the air where the two clones followed up after it and they both punched it in its two head and then one of them grabbed its tail and threw it over towards Danny-Prime who flip kicked its center head to launch it back into the air and then he took out The Fenton Thermos and opened it up. The Thermos unleashed a bright blue beam that swallowed up the snake and sucked it into the thermos to seal it away and then he closed it up.

"And that's another ghost for the zone!"

"Hey that reminds me would snakeskin shoes look good on us?" Danny's clone asked.

"Maybe but Sam would roast us for it. Figuratively and probably literally." The other clone reasoned.

"The moral of the story is that three ghosts is better than one but it's time for you guys to come back."

"Right. We'll be around!"

"See you next time!"

The clones merged back into Danny. "Alright now if there's nobody else who wants to rumble tonight I-" Danny was interrupted when he felt an ice cold sensation run down his spine. Like the foreboding sense of danger you get when you're in the dark and you just feel like there's something horrible behind you and their very presence is sending pressure waves crashing down on you and you don't want to turn around because it would just confirm your fear? You feel frozen in place, powerless to what is going to happen. Your eyes grow wide, your hairs stand up, your body feels like it should be moving but it just stiffens. This was weird. This wasn't like when he sensed a Ghost's presence nearby. There was something dangerous in the area. It wasn't like when he fought Dark Danny but it was close. Danny flew up higher into the air and he looked around the city. "What the...what IS that? What's causing this? Vlad? No it doesn't feel like him. Is there another Ghost out there? Come at me Ghost!" He challenged the air.

(Okay this kid is better than I expected. I still don't want to involve him but I'll keep an eye on him while we're in the area.)

"Oh I have a feeling you two will get along just fine. Come on. Lets continue our tour for now."

(You got it. Have a good night, kid.) Kira revved the engine and road off into the night while reigning in her aura.

Danny calmed down as the sensation gradually died down. "Okay. That was weird. Have I been working too hard?"

He returned home while keeping an eye out for any potential threats until he finally returned home and phased through the Earth to reach the Fenton Family's Underground Lab, poked his head through the wall, looked around, phased through the wall, flew across the lab and landed in front of the Ghost Zone Portal where he inserted the Thermos and released the captured Three-Headed Snake Ghost into the Ghost Zone and turned back to normal. "Whoo! Okay, so tonight was refreshingly easy but I'm going to have to watch out for whatever that 'bad vibe' was. Guess I'll call up Tucker and Sam and ask if they noticed anything weird." He shrugged and exited the laboratory.

Danny returned to his room and booted up his laptop to get in touch with a video call to Sam and Tucker when he heard a knock on his door. "Who is it?"

"It's me! The coast is clear!" Jasmine 'Jazz' Fenton called into the room.

"It's open!"

Jasmine opened the door and closed it behind herself and sat down next to her little brother on the bed. "So? How'd it go tonight? Anything interesting?"

"Yes and no. None of the usual customers just a three-headed snake monster, and I'm going to be up all night trying to figure out where that came from, but after I captured it I felt...something. I got an, I don't know, a seriously bad vibe in the air. It was like there was something seriously bad in the area but I couldn't find it." Danny explained while logging in and getting set up.

"Seriously? How bad exactly?"

"It's like...well, I guess it would be the feeling you'd get when you're being chased by The Terminator and you know it's in the area but you can't tell where it's coming from." He rubbed the back of his head. "Weird analogy, I know, but it's the best I can do right now."

"That bad huh? So who was it? Skulker? Vlad? Desiree? Ember?"

"Hmmmm nooo...not any of them." Danny counted down on his fingers. "Ember is the opposite of subtle, Desiree would be causing all kinds of havoc right now, Vlad's a Drama Queen and loves to hear himself talk and Skulker would've been blasting at me. Besides, my Ghost Sense would've picked up on them and it didn't feel like them. Or any Ghost I've run into. Or, well, most of them. The closest I can think of is-"

"...Evil-Me."

Jazz knew that Danny still didn't like talking about 'Dark Danny' so she wouldn't push and placed a comforting gentle hand on her brother's shoulder. "He wasn't you. He was a you from an Alternate Future. You'll never turn into that jerk. Because we're here for you, we aren't going anywhere, and you're too strong to ever become him."

Danny's smile returned. "Thanks, sis. But for real...whatever that was out there, it was strong and deadly. Not quite on his level of Pure Unadulterated Evil but certainly nastier than my usual punching bags."

"So what's your plan?"

"Right now? I'm going to touch base with Sam and Tucker, pass the info to them, and see if they've noticed anything weird on their end. The best thing we can do right now is just keep an eye out for trouble and then deal with it when it shows up."

"Weird by Amity-Park Standards?"

"See? You're catching on already."

"Tsk. Kiiiinda sounds like you're winging it, bro." She teased.

"Hey now. Some of our greatest victories have come from winging it."

"He's not wrong! That's when Danny's at his best!" Sam Mason joked after logging in. "Hey Ghostie! How'd it go tonight?"

"I saw the light of the Ecto-Blasts out there tonight. Did anything cool happen?" Tucker Foley asked. "Any souvenirs?"

"Unfortunately no, not this time, the fight was pretty uneventful. Just a big scaley three-headed snake. Not the weirdest thing I've fought. It's what happened afterword that's got me spooked. After I'd already defeated the snake ghost I...sensed something in the air. It wasn't like Ghost-Sense...this was something scarier than the usual Ghosts. It was...well...like there was something in the city that wasn't supposed to be here. That there was something wrong in the air and it was big and it was scary but I couldn't tell where it was." He sighed. "Anyway, I don't know what it was but it's bad news. There's a good chance that it's going to be a new enemy but since we don't know what it is yet we'll just have to be careful until it shows itself. Anyway, what about you guys? Anything happen tonight?"

"Nah it's been an unfortunately quiet night so far." Sam replied.

"For real. Not even so much as a Luchador Fantasma tonight!

Danny rubbed his shoulder. "As proud as I am of beating him I would definitely prefer if I didn't have to see Rey Del Infierno again. Cool name and all but it's a little hard to appreciate it when you're fighting for your life against a giant ghost wrestler...and I didn't even get a belt after I won! He can stay gone for all I care."

"Awwww no rematch?" Sam asked.

"No rematch. I won and that's that."

"Alright fine but if he does come back we're selling tickets."

"Well not like I can stop you but lets get back on topic. Anything weird?"

"Aside from the usual Amity Park nightlife? No. Nothing."

"Are you sure you didn't imagine it?" Tucker suggested.

"I don't know what it was but I know for a fact that I felt it out there. We can't make a move until it does of course but...yeah. Right now I just want everyone to be careful and watch your backs. Once we know what's coming we'll make a plan."

"Sounds like our usual M.O."

"I could try whipping up some tech but I'll need to know what it is we're chasing first. I'll put that on the backburner for now."

"Okay then. Lets reconvene in the Morning and proceed from there. Get some good sleep out there tonight."

"Sweet dreams guys! Tucker out!"

"May your sleep be filled with twisted dreams and ultra recyclable organic matter!"

"No promises." The Fenton siblings replied.

Sam laughed and signed out.

"Kiiiids! We're home!" Jack called up to them.

"Coming!" The kids called back and Jack signed out of the computer and bounded out of the room to go catch back up with their returning parents.

"How'd it go tonight guys? Any Spectral Smackdowns?" Danny asked.

"Sadly my boy, no Boogeyman Beatdowns tonight. We nearly caught that snake creature but it slipped away from us and then The Phantom Boy flew out of nowhere and they both escaped!" Jack put his hands on his hips and looked up at the ceiling. "We can only imagine what fiendish schemes they will concoct together. The Phantom and The Snake. We need to capture them Post-Haste!"

Maddie placed a gentle hand on her husband's shoulder. "We will, honey, we will, we've just had a string of bad luck is all. But it won't last forever. They can't evade us forever."

"Mom's right, Dad!" Danny chimed in. "You guys will wipe those smug smiles right out of those ghastly grinning ghouls one day!"

"You're the best in the business." Jazz added.

"Awww you kids are the best!" Jack lunged forward and scooped them both up in a hug. "You know just what to say to make your parents feel like themselves again!"

"What do you I make some smoothies and we just take a load off tonight?" Maddie asked while hugging them both.

"Sweet!"

'How are you enjoying your sight seeing tour?'

"It's my first time in American Town so it's certainly not a bad introduction. The architecture's nice, the atmosphere is nice and spooky and the people seem okay. All in all not too bad for the first night of an investigation." She parked in front of The Amity Park Museum and stared at it.

'Anything?'

"Nothing yet. I'm going to need to check out in the daytime to be certain though. We've got an entire city to investigate and The Demon could be hiding anywhere. Until then I'll do what I usually do and blend in with everyone until I can find it and end it. Another tally mark on the board and we go back to Japan."

'Are you positive that you don't want to get the kid involved?'

"If he gets involved then his Human Friends will get involved and that's two more people I'll have to protect from who knows how many demonic threats? Two more if his parents get involved. It's easier if we fight alone. Besides how would I even go about recruiting him? Hi Danny-Boy! I'm Kira Hikaru and I'm here to hunt down and kill a Physical Demonic Horror who is here to do something unspeakably horrible to everyone here. This is Lily my Demonic Wand. Want to team up? Full Disclosure I eat the flesh of my enemies and their organs including their brains. But I'm totally on the side of Good! Kind of! Want to meet my Demonic Surrogate Family? We work for a Demonic Corrupt Corporate Executive!" She asked and drummed her fingers on the motorcycle. "It's not going to work. It's just easier for me to quietly do my job and bounce."

An ear splitting high pitched demonic laugh echoed through her mind. 'Okay that is hilarious! You should 100% do that now!'

"Lily!"

'Oh calm down, Hikaru, I'm just busting your chops. I know you're still hurting over how you and your gang died but you need to start opening up to other heroes for the sake of efficiency if nothing else. Besides.'

"You're my other half and this relationship works based on mutual respect. I need to make strong in my convictions to make this work. I remember."

'Good girl. Lets keep fighting the good fight and remain strong in our convictions and focus on the job.'

"Excuse me! You looking for something? You know The Museum's closed right?"

Kira looked back to see a young lady in a red and black high-tech jumpsuit floating down on top of a flying high-tech glider which was armed with laser blasters and missiles!

(Okay that's new.) "Sorry. I'm new in town and I'm taking in the sights. The Museum looked interesting so I'm planning to visit it tomorrow."

The suit scanned and analyzed the biker girl but it came back negative. Whoever she was she didn't register as a Ghost. "I'm glad you're enjoying your tour of Amity Park but it can be dangerous out here at night so you should get home. Would you like me to escort you?"

"Nah it's cool. I can handle myself. Thanks Space Lady!" She waved and revved the engine and road away. The suit girl followed her for a while after apparently wanting to keep an eye on her and or ensure her safety regardless.

(Tch. If I try to lose her it will just look suspicious. I guess I'll just have to put up with it for now. Ah well. Might as well make the most of it.)

"I am the clown with the tear-away face

Here in a flash and gone without a trace

I am the who when you call, "Who's there?"

I am the wind blowing through your hair

I am the shadow on the moon at night

Filling your dreams to the brim with fright

This is Halloween, this is Halloween

Halloween, Halloween

'Alloween, 'alloween

'Alloween, 'alloween." She sang quietly to herself en route to her home. The drive continued for a while until she returned to her Temporary Home and drove up the driveway and parked her way. She parked her motorcycle and got off and reached up and removed her helmet and shook her hair out revealing the pretty bob cut blonde girl look she'd glamoured up for herself.

"Well thanks for the escort mission, supersuit, but this is where I get off! My name's Angelique by the way! What's yours?"

"You can call me The Red Hunteress and I'm here to protect Amity Park and the world from Ghost Monsters that would threaten it. You get some good sleep now, Angelique, and rest easy knowing you are all protected!"

"I'll keep that in mind! Thank you!" She waved goodbye as the garage opened and she led the motorcycle inside as it closed her. She relaxed against the wall. "This is a weird town."

'Oh come now it's not the weirdest place you've visited.'

"True but...come on. Super Suit back there was riding around on a fucking sci-fi glider with missiles and laser cannons and I'm pretty sure I saw a bazooka on her back." She paused and looked up at the ceiling. "Hmmm. Thicc though. Not as hot as Mashiro but...良い尻だなあ."

"Oh what? You're a Kappa now?" Her companion asked while a pair of porcelain doll hands began freeing themselves from her bag.

"Oh cut me some slack. I can't exactly go out and get any. I'm a Corpse. 'Sides, as far as I'm concerned I'm still saving myself for Mashiro."

"Still loyal after all these years?" The Doll questioned as she crawled out of the backpack and onto Kira's shoulder like a monkey until Kira grabbed her and held her.

"And you better believe it." She quipped and dropped the glamour spell to reveal her purple haired stiched together FrankenZombie body with the bolts sticking out of her neck.

"Come on. Lets go get some food and drink."

Inside Kira found a tall humanoid woman wearing a human skin apron over a long sleeved black shirt and pants. She had a human skin facemask on her face that was oddly both tight and sagging with a way too wide smile and dark hair on her face. Kira could just about see demonic looking eyes peeking out at her from behind the eyeholes of the mask. Chisalochriax the Butcheress. A Butcher Demon and Chef from the Gluttony Hell had prepped a Taco Night Dinner with ground human meat,  onions, cilantro, pico de gallo, sliced radishes or cucumbers, avocado, chili peppers, and various human organs and body parts all topped with bloody hot sauce with a tall glass of brains next to Kira's plate all arranged on a large table cloth of flayed human flesh.

"Oh sweet, Taco night!" Kira greeted and set Lily down in a high-rise chair with a tall glass of blood in front of it. "This is cool. What's the occasion?"

"Well dear it's your first night in an American Town and I thought we should celebrate with a special treat."

"I won't be complaining. Is Thornoraak here tonight?"

"Sadly no The Blade will not be joining us tonight. He's taking care of some business for Miss Archstopholes but he should return within a day or two."

"Cool beans. Shall we?"

"Lets." They placed their hands together and bowed their heads in a dark prayer.

"Oh mighty Dark Lord

By whom all things are set afire

Thy power be the path,

Thy will be my desire

On Hell as it is on Earth.

Praise The Dark Lord.

Sin-Men!"

They raised their heads and began eating. Kira taking a huge crunch bite out of her taco and moaning in pleasure as she chewed up the taco toppings, shell and organs in her mouth. "Ohhhh man that is goooood! I needed this tonight!"

"So? Did you find anything interesting tonight?"

"I got to see Ghost Boy in action for the first time."

"Sooo? Did he impress you?" The Butcheress asked and bit into her own taco.

"He's got talent but I only saw him fighting a lightweight so it's a bit hard to tell how good he is from just that. Regardless I'd rather wrap up this investigation before he gets involved. A good kid like him shouldn't get involved in this life."

"That's very sweet of you, Kira, but the fact remains that the demon is here and if there's one there's a good chance there will be others. Even if you kill them? The town's marked and there will be others who come to the town. Especially with what a Supernatural Hotspot it is. So what then? You won't always be able to come here to hunt them down in secret. Eventually the kid will have to step up and graduate to the next level sooner or later. If he's going to fight demons? He might as well learn the ropes from someone who already has a history of hunting and killing them? Yes there will be an adjustment period and it will be difficult for both of you but the fact is you're going to need him. He knows the area better than you do and you know about fighting demons. He'll need to learn from you if he wants to be able to protect everyone. Besides, isn't that what you both want?" The Butcheress reasoned.

Lily laughed. "Well shit she's got you there, Kira!" She scolded the FrankenZombie and sipped her blood glass.

Kira took another bite of her taco and took her time chewing it up as she thought this over. She still didn't want to get the kid involved but at the same time she didn't have a counter-argument for that. Whether they liked it or not the town was Marked now. Even if she killed this demon and any buddies it brought along the after effects of the demon's presence in the town would linger on and others would come to see what it was the other had been here for. Combined with the town being a bed of supernatural activity already and it would only get worse. The Ghost Kid would need to learn about fighting Demons regardless if he wanted to prevent this place being a slaughterhouse. Furthermore, if she was being honest, the best way she could honor her friends memories would be to train him to prevent it from happening to him as well.

"Okay." She relented. "You're right. I'll investigate him some more tomorrow and find a way to set up a meeting and bring him into this." She paused to enjoy some Brains Drink. "Ahhhh. You were right. I was wrong. Again. Besides, he's going to need the training anyway."

"Don't let it get to you, Kira, you're still young while I've had centuries to learn my craft and I had to get smart to survive. You'll get there one day. Besides, you're already well on your way."

"Thanks Butcheress. You too Lily."

"Cheers, Corpse Girl." Lily replied.

"The real question is what could a Demon want with a town like this?" Kira took another bite of her taco, chewed it up and swallowed. "I mean, I get it, but a supernatural hotspot like this has so many potential applications for Demonic Dark Magic that it's hard to narrow it down to any one thing." She had another bite. "The Fentons....are Ghost Researchers right? With some crazy wild Ghost Tech?"

"Correct. They even have a portal into The Ghost Zone in their basement."

"A parallel dimension to the human realm that is home to all ghosts. Essentially, they've built a portal to an afterlife dimension...yeah, yeah that's probably it. Whatever The Demon's doing here, it's going to involve that at the very least." Kira finished her first taco, enjoyed some of her drink and began eating the next one. "There's too many applications for it to count though so we'll need to get in touch with the kid, explain things and start working on a plan to protect it. Hey Lily? Any ideas?"

"Maybe. But we'll need more information first."

"Cool. In that case I'll send out a pair of Skull-Birds to monitor the Fenton Household in case of Demonic Attacks while I'm meeting with Danny at school. Once Danny's on our side I can summon a few more to assist with investigating Amity Park."

"Wouldn't it be smarter to go ahead and do that now?"

"Mmmmm...." She ate some more of her taco. "If I do that there's a chance Danny could flash fry them by mistake. It'll be easier if we can investigate Amity together if he knows they're on his side."

After they finished eating Kira helped with cleanup and the dishes, the rest of which Butcheress cleared up with magic, and then Kira retired to her room where she prepared for a spell. She set down a giant human flesh bound sheet of paper down on the floor and then she opened her closet and pulled out a cooler with a keypad on it. She pressed a few buttons on the cooler's keypad to open it up, 56690, and pulled out two small containers. One green and one red and she set them down on the floor and finally she retrieved a pair of paintbrushes from her desk and walked back over to the paper and she sat down. Kira opened up the green container, dipped the brush into its contents, and when she pulled it out it was covered in neon green Monster Blood! Kira tapped the brush on the side of the canister and then she began drawing a Magical Summoning Circle on the sheet comprised of a neon green Monster Blood circle, another circle within that, a ten point star inside of it, another circle within the star's points, and a final circle in the center of the star. Once complete she returned that brush to the Monster Blood Canister and then she opened up the Red Canister to dip her other brush into the Human Blood which she used to write down the Kanji for Bird in the center of the circle: .

Once everything was ready she placed it back in the canister and she crossed her legs and held her hands out over the paper and began to chant a spell.

"By Ca'lopyipht And His Infinite Feinds! By The Infernal Moon Of Wemeu-leth! Farymeut! Rteacrn! Hymeoxe! Jalcele Occtio Kaliayuma Temuosus Eperla! I Invoke The Skull Birds Of Boromelv! Cross the threshold of The Grim Hearth to lend me your aid! I call upon you: Rishi and Krenah!" She finished chanting her spell and finished it by blowing out a cloud of noxius dark greenish-purple gas from between her lips down to the magical circle. A small swarm of flies blew out with it and began swirling around the magical circle as the gas struck the center and it began rising up in a tornado. The magical circle began glowing and shining brilliantly and spinning around rapidly. Dark red and green lights flashed out of the center of the circle and into the tornado while electricy crackled around it and the flies. A hole opened up in the middle of the circle and split open the Kanji to reveal a single demonic eye staring straight up. A pair of skeletal birds emerged from the center of the eyeball beak first and grew out of it until they stood up as tall as Blue Heron's! The creatures opened their skeletal mouths and let out loud Pterodactyl screeches intermingled with insane laughter! Coupled with the magic lightshow from earlier it would've woken up the whole neighborhood if not for the Glamour Magic around the house keeping anybody from seeing or noticing anything unusual. Weirdness Filters were her best friends sometimes.

Kira laughed and reached out and patted their heads. "Rishi, Krenah, it's good to see you two again. How've you been?"

They screeched again, quieter this time but with that same cackling laughter.

"Good to know." She began rubbing their heads. "I've got a job for you two: I need you to go watch over The Fenton Family Household for any signs of Demonic Activity or attacks and report to me immediately if anything happens. Do not engage the Fentons at all. Simply observe and report. Only engage if they're attacked by a Demon. Is that understood?"

They screeched and nodded.

"Excellent. Thanks guys. Rest assured there will be some prizes for you when this all over." She leaned forward and hugged them both. "Remember to stay hidden and be careful out there." She whispered and then she stood up and walked to the window and opened it up. "Go on now, get some fresh air."

They flapped their skeletal wings and shrank themselves down to the size of hummingbirds before shooting out of the house like rockets and flying across Amity Park to begin their mission. Kira smiled, closed the door and cleaned up her room.

Once everything was taken care of Kira decided to clean herself up to get ready for the next day and she removed her clothes, walked out of the bathroom with Lily in tow, and set her down on the sink as she drew herself a bath of blood and toxic chemicals. "I'm proud of you, Kira, you're taking this job seriously."

"No reason not to cover our bases, right? Besides, I'd say it's inevitable that our mystery Demon is going to try something with The Fenton's Ghost Portal and we need to be ready for when it does. Here's hoping we can get ahead of it and cut it off at the pass before they get hurt though."

"That's just like you, Hina, you always get like this when families are involved."

"It's Kira." She insisted. "Besides which, the kid's got a life here, friends and family. I'm not letting some demon tear that away from him."

"A FrankenZombie with a Heart. Just be sure to focus on the task at hand when the time comes."

"Don't worry. I've been doing this long enough to know to lay the smackdown when I corner my prey." Kira replied with a smile and began lowering herself into the bath.

TIME PASSED THROUGH THE NIGHT INTO THE MORNING!

Danny finished his shower and got dressed and descended the stairs alongside Jazz.

"So Danny you ready to sleepwalk through another day at Casper High?" Jazz teased.

"Eh, only until another ghost attacks. Then I'll ditch and go save the city again."

"And probably get another detention."

"A sacrifice I am willing to make to keep the world safe."

Jack poked his head around the corner alongside Maddie. "Don't worry kids! Your school life will be perfectly safe! It's the Ghosts who will be in trouble! Here! In our lab!"

"As we're going to be dissecting them!" Maddie added. "Trust me kids we've got something really cool planned tonight! We're going to be working on it all day today but once our new weapon's ready we'll be demolishing the ghosts by the truckload!"

"I can't wait to see it in action, mom, I bet it's going to be amazing." Jazz assured her parents.

"Sounds like it's going to be a blast guys. I can't wait to see it!" Danny added.

"Ohhh yeah that's the Fenton Family Spirit! We're going to blast that Phantom right out of the sky!" Jack told his kids enthusiastically while hugging them.

"Ohhhh...great."

"Now you two kids have a wonderful day at school, stay out of trouble and remember to give us a call if any ghosts show up alright?" Maddie asked them.

"No matter how big or scary they might be we'll come to your rescue. Worst case scenario? We'll ask Vladdie for help!"

"Ehhhhh lets hold off on that one." Danny hugged his dad. "The Fenton's don't have Masters."

"Oh Dannie you are serioiusly going to be the greatest hunter of your generation!"

"Thanks, dad, we're heading out!"

"Same! Love you guys! Good luck with your new gadget!"

"Love you kids! Stay safe!"

"Ohhh boy another super weapon. I can't wait to see how this is going to turn out." Jazz looked over to Danny. "So how are you doing? Any more bad vibes?"

"Not...particularly. No Ghost Sense either. Just a weird feeling. It's like I know something is about to happen but I can't place it or when it's going to happen."

"Hmmm that doesn't sound good. Well the best we can do then is just...stay ready for whatever comes next."

"Yeah, I just hope it's not too dangerous."

"Hey now. You're Danny Phantom. Whatever's coming for Amity Park next? I know you can handle it."

"Thanks sis."

The Fenton Siblings soon met up with Turkcer and Sam.

"Hey guys!"

"Hey Ghostie!" Sam greeted.

"Sup guys?" Tucker asked.

"Did you guys get some good sleep? Any Ghosts sightings?"

Surprisingly for Amity Park? No nothing yet. What about you? Any more spooky feelings?" Tucker asked.

"Just a feeling that something dangerous is right around the corner but I have no way of knowing when it's going to jump out at us. So we'll just have to be careful and deal with it whenever it pops up."

"Ugh, jumpscares are the lowest form of horror." Sam replied with an eyeroll.

"Jumpscares are pure comedy. You jump in your seat and then you burst out laughing over it after."

"I'll remember that the next time Skulker jumps out and attacks us."

"Should be fine. He usually just attacks Danny anyway."

"Don't remind me." Danny replied with a smile. Team Phantom shared a laugh together and he relaxed. "Thanks guys. I needed that."

"Don't worry about it. We'll always have your back, both on and off the field. Whatever ghost pops ups!" Tucker started and put an arm around Danny.

"Team Phantom will smack it down and lock it up!" Sam finished for Tucker.

"Team Phantom!" They declared and fist bumped together.

The School Bus dropped them off at Casper High and the students began filing out of the bus to begin another day at school while a motorcycle also pulled up to the school and parked. The young biker got off and took of her helmet and looked across the campus towards her target. "Alright, Fenton, time to begin Phase 2." Kira whispered to herself. "Infiltration and negotiation."

(And so begins your first day at an American High School! What do you think so far?)

(You know...after everything I've seen so far in this town, and going by the name, I was hoping for something more impressive looking. They don't even have a creepy iron gate or a single decoration up! I was hoping for something, you know, foreboding and creepy looking. Instead it's just so...plain.)

(What? It doesn't stand out enough to you? Your Evil Lair isn't exactly attention grabbing either.)

(The outside of our house is a necessary disguise. These guys though...they live in a place called Amity Park, they go to a school called Casper High, their mascot is a Raven, they live in a town populated by Ghosts...you see where I'm coming from right? Why not lean into that and give your school a Haunted House Vibe? It would make it less boring for everyone that's for sure.)

(You're overthinking it. Sunnydale High wasn't exactly a landmark either and that place was a much bigger mess than Casper High. Just because it doesn't advertise as a gang run fortress like what The Butterflies turned Kasai Minami Girls Academy into doesn't mean its dull. People and places can surprise you, Kira.)

(Man I miss the Academy. We're definitely going to have a lot of work ahead of us getting that place back in order after I get everyone back but it'll be nice to walk its halls again.) She sighed and smiled. (I can't wait until I'm partying and laughing with everyone in The Academy again.)

(Heh-heh. One step at a time, Hikaru, one step at a time.)

"Hey hey hey! How's it going there?"

Kira snapped out of her inner thoughts and returned to being in character as Angelique. Angelique smiled as she noticed the girl approaching her as the Huntress she met last night in her civilian wear but introduced herself as someone brand new.

"Why hello there." She replied to the girl in a soft spoken honeyed tone of voice. "What's your name?"

"My name's Valerie. Valerie Gray." The young African-American thick girl introduced herself. She's cute for a kid, with long, curly hair and hunter green hairs with a yellow camisole and oragne skirt with yellow socks and white tennish shoes along with an orange headband, golden earrings, an orange necklace and two bracelets on each wrist.

"Well nice to meet you Val, can I call you Val? I'm Angelique Barrett."

"Cool name, good looks, I think you're going to just fine here."

"Oh that's good. I'm new in town and I've had the jitters since I arrived. I mean, have you heard the rumors about the hauntings?"

"Oh no those are all true." Valerie informed her with a laugh and draped an arm around the new girl. "But don't you worry about a thing. You just stick with me and those evil ghosts won't be able to touch you without getting zorched!" She informed the young blonde. "Come on. I'll introduce you to my friends. Casper High is a good enough school but it's important that you get acquainted with the right people. Trust me I used to be part of the A-Listers In-Crowd and they are all huuuge douchebags."

"Let me guess: Football Fools and Cheerleading Clowns?"

"Nailed it." She responded with a kurt laugh.

Angelique continued to laugh and joke around with Valerie while focusing on the task at hand. Valerie was leading her right to Danny Fenton. This might be easier than she expected.

eam Phantom were in the middle of their own conversation when they noticed her approaching them with a new girl in tow. Sam immediately began sizing her up. (Pretty blonde new girl, cute face, busty, in shape, doe eyed, ditzy cheerleader type. Yeah she's definitely going to fall in with The A-Listers unless we rescue her while we still can. Either way she's not getting close to Danny.) She scooted in front of Danny before greeting them.

"Hey there Val? Who's the new girl?"

"Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my honor to introduce you to Angelique Barret! The new girl in town!"

"Hello everyone." Angelique greeted them cheerfully.

"Oh so you're new in town, huh?" Tucker asked and offered his hand. "Then let me, Tucker Foley, be the first Amity Gentleman to welcome you to Amity Park and Casper High! I would be honored to give you the grand tour of our spooky city. It can be a bit scary at times but don't be afraid. So long as you stick with me you'll be perfectly safe. Trust me, I've learned everything there is to know about Ghost Busting from Danny and his family!"

"Oh my! I feel safer already!" Angelique responded while shaking Tucker's hand before switching over to Danny. "So you're an official Ghost Buster?"

"Kinda. Our parents, you know, mine and Jazz's, are really deep into Parapsychology and Ghost Hunting and they're working around the clock to keep Amity Park safe from the Ghost Beasts that are constantly threatening it." Danny summarized. "But you don't have to worry about those things. The ghosts aren't much of a threat. Not with the Ghost Hunters around. We're free to enjoy our day at school and have fun. So let me introduce myself properly: I'm Danny Fenton, this is my sister Jazz and this is Sam." Danny couldn't help but notice the strange feeling he was getting from this girl but his Ghost Sense hadn't gone off once so far so she probably wasn't too dangerous right? He would just have to keep his guard up until they got to know her.

"Brains, muscle and the beauty of the group all in one." Sam bragged.

"But really, don't worry about The Ghosts. Once you get used to them they'll just become background noise." Jazz assured her.

"Wow! I heard the rumors but I never thought Amity Park was really this exciting. I thought it was all just some urban legends. But this town is really haunted?" Angelique asked in surprise.

"The whole town's one big haunted house." Tucker informed her. "But like I said, we're the A-Team. Just stick with us and you'll be safe."

"Woah that's so spooky! Buuut it's good to know we've got a team of heroes looking out for everyone's safety. Danny I would love to hear more about your Ghost Hunting later. Maybe at lunch?"

"Great! Hey I'd love to tell you all about it!"

"Awesome. Come on. I can't wait to start my first day here."

"Hold up." Sam raised her hand. "Where did you transfer from anyway?"

"JoyPort. Long story short? We travel around a lot so I'm used to uprooting every which way but I'm hoping to finally settle down and relax somewhere. If it has to be in a Haunted House Town? Then so be it! At least it won't be boring right?"

"Yeah, never a dull moment. Come on. We should get to class."

As the crew started walking towards the school Sam gave Danny a 'we need to talk' look and he quietly nodded before resuming conversation.

Kwan and Dash observed the group from the school entrance. "Woah woah woah! Who's the new girl?" Kwan asked.

"Dunno. Never seen her before but she is a leggy knockout! Inform the guys that I'm calling dibs." Dash Baxter informed his friend while tossing the football up and down.

"Noted but what are you going to do with that?"

"I'm going to knockout Fen-turd and send him crying home to mommy right in front of the new girl!"

"You sure? They're kinda grouped up together. What if you hit her or Valerie?" Kwan pointed out.

"Pfft. Relax would you? You know I never miss. Now stand back and watch The Master!" Dash scoled him and raised his arm, moved it back and forth and took careful aim and then it fly like a missile over the heads of several students en route towards Danny's face! "HEADS OFF FEN-TOAD!"

Dash's shouting and the screams of the students caught everyone's attention and they looked up to see the football incoming and Danny immediately raised his arms to his get Sam, Tucker and Jazz to back off. "DOWN! NOW!" He called out to the others and got ready to duck and dodge out of the way but Angelique slid in front of him and grabbed the football right out of the air while Danny was in mid-dodge. She lowered the football and tossed it up and down while glaring at Dash and Kwan. "Pitiful." She scoffed and turned back around to look at Danny. "Everyone okay?"

"Uhh...yeah, yeah, fine." He admitted and straightened back up. (I could've dodged that with ease, sure, but she's got some good reflexes.) "Where'd you learn to move like that?"

"Ohhh...you know...just some self-defense classes here and there, Cobra Kai, Dragon Kai, all that good jazz."

"Cobra Kai you say?" Jazz questioned.

"Karate is really good for your reflexes." She tossed the ball to Danny. "Here. I think this was meant for you."

"You're right. I know just where to put it too!" He casually tossed Dash's football away and into the trash. There might be some consequences for that later but he really wasn't in the mood to put up with Dash today.

"Hey! Since when can chicks move like that?!" Dash asked in shock.

"Valerie can."

"Shut it. Something's up with that girl. We need to get her away from Fenton and the Nerd Herd."

"Yeaaaah...you should probably get your football out of the trash first though."

"Wha? Oh that sonnova!" Dash made a beeline for the trash can.

"So we're going to see garbage dig through garbage, eh? Obvious really. Nice touchdown, Danny." Sam complimented.

"Oh I'm just the runningback who made the touchdown after the new receiver passed the ball to me. Nice one by the way."

"Wow. First day and I'm already the wide receiver of a Ghost Hunting Team. This is all happening so fast!" Angelique joked. "You've got some good moves too. I saw you about to dodge it."

"Lets just say I have a very active lifestyle and I've learned to be quick on my feet." Danny told her honestly. It wasn't a complete lie after all. Danny had to be quick on his feet and smart to stay alive against the constant threats attacking Amity Park. He might not be as fast or strong in his Human Form as he was in his Ghost Form but the constant training and fighting had trained his reflexes to a razor sharp level. He could've dodged that football with ease with the only real danger being if it hit the others or somebody else. Angelique was surprisingly fast though. While he was still feeling that same tingling feeling in his brain from her she wasn't registering as a Ghost and she hadn't attacked him or anyone else and she just helped them out so he pushed it down for now.

"It was the right decision too. It would've flown right past you and across the street without hitting anyone." Valerie pointed out to them. "The fact remains that he still attacked you though so I need to lay down the law. You guys go on ahead. I'll catch up."

"Oh no you're not doing this alone. He just tried to assassinate my little brother. You're not the only one who can lay down the law!" Jazz reminded Valerie and they began walking towards Dash with the others joining Jazz and Valerie to back them up.

Dash fished the football out of the trash and pulled a little spray bottle out of his pocket and sprayed it on the football before setting it down on the rim and taking a small cloth out of his pocket and he began wiping down the football. "Ahhhh man this is just disgusting! Good thing I came prepared in case of failure! Once this is all cleaned up those nerds are gonna get it!"

"Who's gonna get it now, Dummy?" Valerie challenged.

"Oh what do you want, Breadline?" Dash spat at her.

"Ohhh how scathing! How long it take you to come up with that, you coprophagous fop? Careful doordash, I know how much it hurts when you try to think."

(Holy shit she just used coprophagous in an insult! This girl is awesome!) Kira declared internally.

Dash lowered the football and stomped up to her and stared her down. "You want to try and repeat that, poverty? What's a copho...whatever anyway?"

"Ohhh Dash. Dash, Dash, Dash, I don't have the time nor the crayons to explain everything to you, so we'll make this quick and simple for your room temperature IQ."

Jazz stepped to him while Kwan and the other football players began descending the staircase. "You leave my brother alone you pathetic little coward."

"Who do you think you're talking to?! Dash challenged her only for Danny to intercept and get in between them.

"Hands off my sister."

"You were my target from the start anyway, Fen-Turd!"

"Hey! EYES ON ME!" Jazz shouted at Dash. "You're going to listen to what I have to say here and you're going to like it: You are a cowardly sniveling spineless bully who's only tough when you're picking on kids smaller than you. Just because you're tall with some overly inflated muscles doesn't mean you can go around hurting whoever you want regardless of what the faculty try to tell you. Throwing a football across the schoolyard, endangering dozens of innocent kids who have done nothing to you just to hurt one person isn't cool, doordash, it's pathetic and cowardly. That's you in a nutshell though isn't it? Just a big dumb meathead. You dish it out but you can't take it. My brother and my friends are stronger and braver than you'll ever be. So you back off and go crawl back under your rock."

"Ohhh snap man! The Ghost Freaks are picking a fight! You gonna take that?" Dale asked between snickering laughs.

"Hey, Dash, I'm all for knocking around some nerds but maybe we should call this one off. I mean, that's Valerie and Jazz and Sam are girls soooo..." Kwan trailed off.

"Thanks for your concerns, Kwan, but back off. If Dash wants a few shiners he can step up and get 'em!" Valerie challenged.

"Ohhh now I'm feeling it! You go ahead and take a step back, Angel, we've got this." Sam informed her.

"Yeeeahh...uhhh can someone please go get a teacher?" Tucker asked.

"You should listen to her, new kid, you don't want to be on the Nerds Side when this goes down." Another one of the jocks told her.

(Awww sweet we fighting?!) Kira/Angelique could only grin. (Never thought I'd get to have any fun at an American School but here we are! This place has everything! Lets Goooooo!) "Heh."

Before things could escalate any further however Principal Ishiyama stepped out onto the stairs. "THAT'S ENOUGH! BREAK IT UP AND GO TO CLASS!"

You could practically hear the record scratch as everyone quieted down and the A-Lister Raven Football Team stopped what they were doing to turn back to the Casper High Principal who was coldly staring down the two groups with a glare that would send chills down anyone's spine.

Dash turned around to face the principal. "Uh, but, Principal ishiyama...A-Listers are immune to scorn!"

"Class Mr. Baxter! You of all people cannot afford to have your grades drop any further."

"I...good point." Dash relented and waved off his gang. "You got luck this time, losers." He muttered to them and walked away with his gang.

(Spoilsport!) Kira/Angelique responded internally.

(To be fair it wouldn't have been much of a fight anyway with your powers.) Lily reminded her.

(It's the Principal of it. I wanted to have a little fun smacking down those wimps. Besides it would've been a good bonding experience that would've helped them with trusting me which would've made our overall goal much simpler.)

(Don't worry about it you'll have your chance.)

Tucker breathed out a long sigh of relief. "Ohhhh man you have perfect timing, Principal. Class sounds really good right now."

"Sorry for getting heated there, Principal, but you know...they started it. Again." Danny pointed out.

"They tried to hit Danny with a football! Dash threw it at him from the stairs! He could've seriously hurt someone!" Jazz added.

"We'll deal with Dash and his cronies later but you should know that picking a fight right back doesn't make you look any better." The Principal reminded them. "Now you're not in any trouble and I'm going to let you walk to class but you need to keep this in mind in the future alright? Go to class, relax, take a few deep breaths and focus on your education. That's how you're going to get ahead in life. Alright?"

"Yes Ma'am!"

"Excellent! Miss Barret? If you would come to my office? I'd be happy to give you your schedule."

"Sure thing! Later guys! I hope we end up in class together!" Angelique told them and ran inside.

"Later! Have fun! We'll give you the tour later!" Sam promised.

"Of the school and Amity Park!" Tucker added.

"Sounds like a plan!" She assured Team Phantom and hurried inside after The Principal.

Team Phantom moved on inside to go their respective classes with the other kids cheering them on. "FENTON! FENTON! FENTON! FENTON! FENTON!"

Danny turned back around to his classmates and smiled and raised a fist in the air. "Best Ghost Hunters In The World!"
Angelique couldn't help but be surprised at the internal design of the school. It was so different from The Kasai Minami Girls Academy back home that was getting punched in the face with Culture Shock. There weren't any shoe lockers for one thing. The students were dressing basically however they wanted without any indication of school uniforms aside from the usual jocks and cheerleaders. The Academy had students adhering to a dress code like all Japanese Schools of course though the Butterflies allowed their members to customize them however they wanted so long as they still kept the Hell Butterfly logos visible. Furthermore, Angelique had some serous doubts about the Athletic Department of the school as compared to the Combat Training that Mashiro implemented. Basically turning the Elaborate University Elevator Academy into one giant Dojo.

They didn't have the formal traditional training that The Dragons or the other Dojos did, sure, but they came out of that Academy as tough as nails thanks to the numerous clubs devoted to Combat and the mandatory training.

Back on the topic of Casper High, she also noticed students opening and closing lockers and taking books and other items out of them. They ddin't have those back home. Students kept all books and personal effects with them in their homerooms. Junk Food wasn't supposed to be allowed at school back home either though but nobody at The Academy cared about that too much. She was admittedly curious about what an American Cafeteria was like though.

Most of all though she was disappointed with the lack of Halloween Decorations. She had expected a Haunted House style school.

"See anything you like?"

"Yeah, it's, ah, you have a really nice looking school here."

"I'm glad you like it. I'm sorry if The Ravens' little spat with those kids earlier gave you a wrong impression but rest assured Casper High is a very nice school and I know you're going to great here." Principal Ishiyama assured her. "I've seen your records and you're going to fit right in. You're an exceptional young lady and I don't want your first day to be marred with a street fight. You're far too good for that."

Angelique just smiled and nodded while listening to Lily's howling laughter echoing in her mind.
(HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AHHH HAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAA! SINCE FUCKING WHEN?!)

"I appreciate the compliments ma'am. Fortunately there was no harm done though. Dash threw the football at Danny but I was able to catch it and then I pawned it off to Danny and he tossed it to the trash to get back at Dash for, what I am assuming, were several prior moments of bullying and the situation escalated from there with Dash and his cronies threatening everyone and trying to pick a fight." Angelique shrugged her shoulders casually. "It's a heck of a welcoming commitee but I'm sure the lovely faculty of this prestigious institution will get it all sorted out."

Yet another difference! Back at The Academy, disagreements between the girls were settled in the ring.

Good times.

"Rest assured we will get to the bottom of this but joining in on a fight or starting one is not the right way to resovle a problem. I'm going to overlook it this time but you should still aoivd picking fights in the future. Just inform a teacher and get them to help you. Focus on your studies and your books. That is how you get ahead in life."

"Got it ma'am. I understand. Don't start nothing there won't be anything."

"Maybe not in those exact words but yes. Please avoid conflict in the future." The Principal informed her as they walked into the office.

"Scout's Honor, ma'am!" Angelique lied to her face. Hey if the Principal was going to peddle bullshit to her face then Angelique was going to do it right back. Besides which she'd been fighting her whole life and she was still a Hell Butterfly. If some moron wants to pick a fight with them then the Butterflies would crack open a keg of whoop-ass on him!

"Thank you dear." She lead Angelique to her own office and sat down at her desk and sorted through some files until she revealed her schedule and a hall pass. "Here you are, Angelique! Please read it over and let me know if you have any questions about where everything is."

Angelique looked it over and smiled. "Seems pretty straightforward. Thank you. Here's hoping for a fun filled school year."

"Rest assured, you are perfectly safe here. Unless a Ghost attacks. Iiiiin which case it's best to just duck and cover."

"Ha ha. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you! Goodbye ma'am!" She waved and walked out of the room with her schedule and hall pass in hand as the bell rang.

(Hmmmm...interesting schedule. I can't help but notice you don't have too many classes with Danny and friends.)

(That would be too obvious. If we space ourselves out it will come off as more natural.)

En route to her class however she was stopped by Mr. Lancer, a balding bearded overweight old man with a sinister look on his face. Angelique raised an eyebrow. "Can I help you?"

"Vice Principal Lancer, nice to meet you Miss Barrett."

"We need to have a little talk about your altercation this morning."

(Again with this shit?)

"You see, The A-Listers, The Ravens and the Cheerleaders, they are necessary. Their games bring people flocking to this school and people spend money that keeps our school afloat. They are in many ways the lifeblood of Casper Highschool. Dash for example is the backbone of our entire team. For you see Miss Barrett, blah blah blah blah blah blah wouldn’t punish blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah football. (Hey Kira? You following any of this?)

(Are you kidding me? I already tuned him out.)

"So what do you think of the new girl?" Danny asked.

"She's a good kid. Maybe a little too good." Sam mused while looking on her phone. "We've seen this before you know."

"We'll have to keep an eye on her but we can't fall into rampant paranoia." Tucker reasoned. "We'll keep an eye on her here the best we can and while we're giving her The Amity Tour. If she does try to backstab us during all of that then we'll be ready for her. Are you sure your ghost sense isn't working on her though?"

"Nothing. I'm getting this weird little buzz in my brain around her but no Ghost Sense yet. So there's definitely something going on here but I can't tell what."

"Angelique Barrett. Alright here we go: Athlete, Gymnast, Straight A-Student...Pfft… how many boys do you think she promised a date with to help her?"

"That seems a tad unnecessary." Tucker commented.

"Oh come on look at all this!" She handed the phone to Tucker and he and Danny began looking through her online profile. "She's too perfect. She can't be real! There's something weird going on here and Danny's already noticing it, ghost or not, we need to be on our guard. For all we know she could be working for Vlad or The Guys In White."

"i'm not entirely sure that the G.I.W. are smart enough to set up someone's entire life. There's a chance that she's a recruit or something but this feels more like a Vlad Move." Danny suggested.

"Guys, guys, we're forgetting the third possibility: That we're just being paranoid and that she's actually totally fine, in more ways than one, and that Danny's been pulling one too many all nighters keeping the world safe. Trust me, once we get to know her, there's a 50/50 chance that she'll be either just fine or a spectral agent of evil. If she is evil then she's one of the more subtle bad guys. She hasn't done anything evil or suspicious yet aside from saving Danny from a low-flying football. Regardless of how it turns out though we won't know for sure until she makes her move. Lets just play the field for now." Tucker explained to his friends.

"Reasonable enough, I guess, but I'm still going to investigate her until then." Sam declared as she accepted her phone back and she went back to searching. "She certainly has a Social Media presence, I'll give her that, so that much at least must be real." (I don't know, maybe I am being paranoid, but...I don't know, this girl just popped up out of nowhere. Everything about her checks out so far so why can't I accept it? Why is she setting off alarms? What is she planning?) Sam sighed and powered down her phone and returned it to her bag and re-focused as she walked into class.

(Hey, Lily? Were you listening to any of the geezer's garbage?)

(Zzzzzzzzzz huh? Wha? Oh, hey Kira. Sorry that idiot was just sooooo boring! Like, a Church Sermon boring!)

(I know right? I just tuned him out and played some heavy metal in my head so I'd remember to nod along. Something something something football I guess. Eh, whatever. If any of the idiots mess with me I'll deal with them.) Kira decided and walked into her own class, handed the Hall Pass to the teacher and took an open seat and got set up as she got into character.

As Sam was getting set up for class Paulina walked over and placed her hand on her desk. "Hey there, short dark and gruesome, how are you doing today?"

"Oh hey there you shallow little witch! I thought I heard the shrill ear splitting screech of a banshee! What can I do for you?" Sam countered politely.

"Word through the grapevine is that you made a new friend today and I just want to say that I am so happy to hear that you nerds are finally putting yourselves out there to expand your friendship circle. It's just such a shame that you won't be friends for long." Paulina informed her in a faux-apologetic voice. "Because we're going to make her an A-Lister by the end of the day! So enjoy your fake friendship and the new girl taking pity on you nerds while it lasts."

"With all due respect Paulina, which is none, I have only known Angelique for a few minutes max but she's still displayed more character and individuality in that time than you ever have in all this time we've known each other. While she is of course free to like who she wants and befriend who she likes I'm pretty sure she is far too smart to sink down to your level. You're like Capser High in Summer. No class, no principles. Just a mean spirited rich brat with no plans for her life beyond high school whose only recourse is belittling and insulting people you deem less popular than you in the court of public opinion in a freaking High School of all places. You are a sad, sad, spoiled brat, Paulina, and I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. So hail to the dark rock gods and may your day be as pleasent as you are." Sam informed Paulina and smiled to show off her fake fangs.

"Oooooohhhh!" A few of the students called out.

"It's on now!" Another one added.

"Thus speaks the voice of ignorance."

"The word you are looking for is Spake, now, away, you starvelling, you elf-skin, you dried neat’s-tongue, bull’s-pizzle, you stock-fish! I durst not bequeath an hour, nay a minute more in thine presence."

"Awww poor Sam! Now I know why everyone talks about you behind your back: You appear to be suffering from rectal-cranial inversion! Well my friend, you’ll always be right at the top of the bell curve in my mind."

"I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong."

"All I know is one of us is right, and the other one is you."

"It’s good to have an opinion."

Before the insult war could continue they were interrupted by the teacher slamming a large textbook on his desk and snapping them out of their feud. "If you two are done fighting please take your seat Paulina and everyone else focus and open your textoobks so we can begin."

"Sorry sir. I was just discussing with Sam about how much I respect her for consistently meeting expectations within her classes." Paulina assured the teacher and reached into her pocket and placed a small piece of paper on her desk that read in bright red letters!

Consistently Meets Expectations.

Sam growled at her but Paulina walked away to take her seat.

"Well that's good to hear. Now lets all cheer back up and focus on our education!"

"Yes sir. How pleasent." Sam replied through a fake smile and calmed down and focused on class.

"Okay, that was a little scary." Tucker admitted quietly.

"Is it clear now?" Danny asked.

"Class you two!"

"Yes sir!"

The classes teacher, Mr. Corbin Corsa, provided them with a lecture on Skepticisim.

"Right. Back to the topic at hands, kids! Philosophical skepticism is the view that some or all knowledge is impossible. A skeptic questions the possibility of knowledge—particularly justification—in some domain. A global skeptic rejects the possibility of knowledge in general. But one need not reject the possibility of all knowledge. A local skeptic questions the possibility of knowledge only in particular areas of study. One can be a local skeptic about moral knowledge or scientific knowledge. This section will first look at global skepticism and the arguments offered in support of it and then will briefly look at local skepticism.

Global skepticism is a view that questions the possibility of all knowledge. To make their case, global skeptics point to the lack of the possibility of certainty in our beliefs. Because we cannot know that our beliefs are true, we cannot know in general. Usually, global skepticism attempts to undermine the possibility of forming justified beliefs. Global skeptics target all beliefs, or all beliefs about the external world (which amounts to most beliefs). Most beliefs tacitly or explicitly assume the existence of an external world. When I have the experience of seeing a bird in a tree and think, “There is a bird in that tree,” I assume that there is an actually existing physical bird in an actually existing physical tree in an actually existing real world outside of me. There is means “there exists.” I believe the bird, tree, and world all exist independently of my thoughts. The global skeptic questions beliefs such as these.

Let me ask you a question: How many times have you realized that you were dreaming while you were dreaming? Most people believe that whatever they are dreaming is real during the dream. Indeed, the fact that people think dreams are real while dreaming is what makes nightmares so terrible. If you knew the content of a nightmare was a dream, then it would not be nearly as scary. Zhuang Zhou, a Chinese Taoist philosopher, argued that for all we know, we could currently be dreaming while thinking we are awake. Imagine dreaming that you are a butterfly, happily flitting about on flowers. When you wake, how can you determine whether you have just woken from dreaming you are a butterfly or you are a butterfly who has just started dreaming that you are human? Zhuang Zhou explains:

While he is dreaming he does not know it is a dream, and in his dream he may even try to interpret a dream. Only after he wakes does he know it was a dream. And someday there will be a great awakening when we know that this is all a great dream. Yet the stupid believe they are awake, busily and brightly assuming they understand things, calling this man ruler, that one herdsman—how dense! Confucius and you are both dreaming! And when I say you are dreaming, I am dreaming, too.

Zhaung Zhou puts forward the possibility that all of what we take to be conscious experience is actually a dream. And if we are dreaming, then all our beliefs about the external world are false because those beliefs take for granted that our current experience is real.

Nearly two millennia after Zhuang Zhou, René Descartes also proposed a dream hypothesis. Descartes argued that because dreams often incorporate experiences we have in real life, it is impossible to distinguish between dreaming and waking life (Descartes 2008). But Descartes eventually concludes that even if he could be dreaming, there are still some beliefs he can know, specifically arithmetic. Even in dreams, 1 + 1 = 2, and a square will always have four sides. And so, Descartes devises an even stronger skeptical hypothesis: what if we are being tricked by an evil demon?

Descartes’s evil demon is powerful. It can make you believe things, and it can trick you by controlling your experience. The evil demon can make you believe you are currently eating a sandwich by directly feeding you the sensory experience of eating a sandwich (the sight, the smells, the taste, the feel). Under this scenario, you cannot tell the difference between actually eating a sandwich and merely believing you are eating one because the evil demon is tricking you. If we cannot reliably tell the difference between experiences caused by reality and experiences caused by an evil demon, then we cannot know anything. We can represent Descartes’s argument as follows:

If I cannot rule out the possibility that an evil demon is tricking me, then I do not have any knowledge of the external world.

I cannot rule out the possibility that an evil demon is tricking me.

Therefore, I do not have knowledge of the external world.

Why does Descartes claim we can’t have knowledge if we cannot rule out the evil demon hypothesis? If an evil demon is tricking us, then all our beliefs are wrong. And if we cannot rule out the possibility that we are wrong, then we are not justified. And if we are not justified in our beliefs, then we cannot have knowledge of them..."

(OHhhhohohohohoooo! I have some baaaaad news for this guy!) Lily commented with her laughter echoing through Kira's mind as she took notes.

Kira herself couldn't help but snicker quietly.

"Something you would like to add to the class, Miss Barrett?"

"Hmm? Oh, no, no, sorry, it's that...uhmmm, well, considering the local hauntings, wouldn't it be more appropriate to consider the idea that Ghosts might be tricking us instead? I mean, after all..." She cleared her throat. "The old doctrine of “ghosts” regarded them as actual “spirits” of the living or the dead, freed from the flesh or from the grave. This view, whatever else may be said for it, represents the simple philosophy of the savage, which may be correct or erroneous.

About the time of the Reformation, writers, especially Protestant writers, preferred to look on apparitions as the work of deceitful devils, who masqueraded in the aspect of the dead or living, or made up phantasms out of “compressed air”. The common-sense of the eighteenth century dismissed all apparitions as “dreams” or hoaxes, or illusions caused by real objects misinterpreted, such as rats, cats, white posts, maniacs at large, sleep-walkers, thieves, and so forth. Modern science, when it admits the possibility of occasional hallucinations in the sane and healthy, also admits, of course, the existence of apparitions.

These, for our purposes, are hallucinatory appearances occurring in the experience of people healthy and sane. The difficulty begins when we ask whether these appearances ever have any provoking mental cause outside the minds of the people who experience them—any cause arising in the minds of others, alive or dead. This is a question which orthodox psychology does not approach, standing aside from any evidence which may be produced." She tapped her pencil against her notebook. "Admittedly, I'm at a bit of a loss on how to reconcile all of THAT with the idea of Amity Park Ghosts potentially being real recorded ectoplasmic manifestations that sometimes resembles post-human consciousnesses with clear demonstrations of emotions, pain responses, critical thinking skills, complicated thought processes, desires, motivations, and self-awareness."

"Wow. Nice save." Corbin complimented Anqelique. "You might want to talk to The Fentons about all of that but I can recommend some good books on Hauntology after class if you're curious. "Hauntology" of course originates from Derrida's discussion of Karl Marx in Spectres of Marx, specifically Marx's proclamation that "a spectre is haunting Europe—the spectre of communism" in The Communist Manifesto. Derrida calls on Shakespeare's Hamlet, particularly a phrase spoken by the titular character: "the time is out of joint". The word functions as a deliberate near-homophone to "ontology" in Derrida's native French.

Derrida's prior work on deconstruction, on concepts of trace and différance in particular, serves as the foundation of his formulation of hauntology, fundamentally asserting that there is no temporal point of pure origin but only an "always-already absent present". Derrida sees Hauntology as not only more powerful than Ontology, but that "it would harbor within itself eschatology and teleology themselves". His writing in Spectres is marked by a preoccupation with the "death" of communism after the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union, in particular after theorists such as Francis Fukuyama asserted that capitalism had conclusively triumphed over other political-economic systems and reached the "end of history".

Despite being the central focus of Spectres of Marx, the word hauntology appears only three times in the book. Peter Buse and Andrew Scott, discussing Derrida's notion of hauntology, explain: Ghosts arrive from the past and appear in the present. However, the ghost cannot be properly said to belong to the past.... Does then the 'historical' person who is identified with the ghost properly belong to the present? Surely not, as the idea of a return from death fractures all traditional conceptions of temporality. The temporality to which the ghost is subject is therefore paradoxical, at once they 'return' and make their apparitional debut any attempt to isolate the origin of language will find its inaugural moment already dependent upon a system of linguistic differences that have been installed prior to the 'originary' moment. But anyway back to the lecture at hand kids!

If you don’t like evil demons, then consider a more modern version of a skeptical hypothesis: the “brain in a vat” conceived of by American philosopher and mathematician Hilary Putnam. Imagine that while you were asleep last night, a group of scientists kidnapped you and took you to their lab. There, they surgically removed your brain and placed it in a vat of nutrients. The scientists then hooked up your brain to a sophisticated new computer system. They were able to download your memories so as to create new experiences. The result is a seamless experience of consciousness between yesterday and today. When you woke this morning, your life seemed to proceed without disruption. Can you prove that you are not a brain in a vat? No, you cannot. The scenario stipulates that your experience will seem exactly the same whether you are a brain in a vat or not. Other, similar skeptical scenarios are easy to come up with. Consider the possibility that you are caught in a virtual reality world or that you are trapped in the Matrix."

(Oh hey we know someone like that!)

(Nurse Macabre would get a kick out of this class.)

Sam sighed with relief and relaxed as she listened to the lecture and took notes. As much as Shallow Paulie got her going it felt good to let off some of her aggression and vent a little. Get it out of her system so she could face the day with a clear head. The rest of the A-Listers would be pain no matter what but standing up to them always made her feel good.

Tucker hummed to himself and nodded while enjoying the class and keeping pace with the lecture.

Danny had his notes out next to his notebook. Tutoring from Valerie, Jazz and his mom had helped out a lot with his own issues with Math but that still didn't make it all that easy. But Danny was detrmined to raise his grades above his C-Grade Average. Solid B Minuses, just like his dad, was the next step up and from there he'd work his way up to A's like his mom and sister. One grade raise at a time!

"You seem to be in good spirits, Danny." The teacher complimented him.

Danny smiled and raised his hand. "You know it sir! Polynomial that is the sum of two terms, each of which is a monomial, the simplest kind of sparse polynomial after the monomials, are my favorite kind of math subjects! The rules or patterns to use when doing the factoring are as follows:

Rule 1: Factoring out the Greatest Common Factor

ab + ac = a(b + c)
Rule 2: Factoring using the pattern for the differences of squares

a2 - b2 = (a - b)(a + b)
Rule 3: Factoring using the pattern for the difference of cubes

a3 - b3 = (a - b)(a2 +ab + b2)
Rule 4: Factoring using the pattern for the sum of cubes

a3 + b3 = (a + b)(a2 - ab + b2)!

The challenge is in determining which factoring method to use. If you recognize that both terms are perfect squares and they're subtracted, then Rule 2 makes sense. If both terms are perfect cubes, then Rule 3 or 4 will work. If they have one or more factors in common, then use Rule 1. Sometimes, you get to use more than one rule to complete the job!" He explained and smiled expectantly.

"Well done, Danny! That's exactly the kind of spirit we expect to see here at Casper High! You keep that up and you'll raise your grades up before you know it!"

"Thank you, sir, I'll do my best!"

"Neeee~eerrd." Dale taunted him out loud.

The teacher noticed but said nothing for now. Danny just rolled his eyes at the jock and refocused on his schoolwork.

Tucker patted Danny on the back to cheer him back up.

"Don't you ignore me, loser!"

"Down Dale!" Paulina ordered.

The jock looked at her in confusion but she glared at him and he did as The Queen Bee of Casper High commanded. Apparently she had something planned.

As it turned out though, Dash was getting another test back today and as Dash was usually wont to do, he would get either a D or an F which he would react to by taking it out on Fenton for them. All they would have to do is egg him on to put the nerd herd back in their place at the bottom of the pecking order.

After class let out, Angelique was in the middle of packing up her belongings when she was approached by two girls from the class. One of them had blonde hair with greenish-grey eyes with a pink top and blue shorts and the other was wearing her dark hair up with pink earrings, a purple necklace and top, and a pink skirt.

"Hey there new girl! Nice job in class today." The blonde girl told her.

"Same. It's nice to see someone paying attention in class besides us." The other girl joked. "I'm Rebecca. This is Hannah."

"Sup?"

"Sup girls. Appreciate the warm welcome. I'm Angelique. Call me Angel." Angelique informed them while placing the list of Hauntology book titles in her backpack.

She began walking with the girls. "Well then Angel, let me give you some friendly advice so you don't fall from grace. I heard you stood up to Dash already today so you're off on the right foot but you don't want to get involved with the A-Listers. The jocks and cheerleaders are right, popular, athletic but they're dumb as posts and mean as-"

"Ghosts!" Hannah added quickly.

"Ha! Yeah, whole bunch of jerks the lot of them, you'll want to avoid them and avoid getting involved in their antics. Those guys are going nowhere in life."

"If they're all as dumb as that Dash guy from this morning I don't think I have much to worry about but I'll be sure to be careful. Thanks girls."

"HrGuHgGfDjKgHlKdFjSgHfUiSyGoIdSfHgLkJdFsGkJdFsKgJdFsIeRuSgHdFuSgDfLk!" Dash grumbled out in incoherent rage at the big fat bright red circled F staring him in the face on his test. "U froikung tosts iro sa froikung steduod far thus ano taa U moin whit un ovon tho holl!"

Kwan looked over at Dash's test and back at his own. B-. "Wow. So that's what happens when actually study. Maybe you should try putting forth some real effort into it once in a while."

"I did study!" Dash insisted. "I did! This gibberish is just impossible! It's written in some weird, alien, ghost language or something! I mean listen to this: QUESTION 5*

The following two questions pertain to the situation described below, see also figure. A red ball and green ball are both thrown from the ground. The red ball is thrown with an initial speed of 20 m/s at an angle θ = 20° with respect to horizontal. The green ball is thrown at an angle θ = 40 m/s with respect to horizontal with the speed vg. The two balls have the same mass and are observed to hit the ground at the same time. What is vg, the initial speed of the green ball? If the red ball travels a distance dr before it hits the ground, and the green ball travels a distance dg before it hits the ground, how does dr compare to dg?

Kwan looked at the test. "Oh that was B and C. 10.6 m/s and dr > dg."

"Ahhhh quit talking gibberish." Dash groaned and set the test down and placed his head down on the desk. "I'll just take it out on Fenton's hide after class." He mumbled.

"You know it isn't his fault right? I'm down for a beatdown but he doesn't have anything to do with it."

"Quit being a nerd, Kwan."

Kwan shrugged and went back to class.

No sooner had class let it out than Dash had ran out of the classroom to go find Danny with Kwan chasing after him.

Paulina sneered at Danny and his friends on their way out of the class and Sam made a face at her but they passed by without any further problems.

"That's weird. Do you think she's planning something?"

"Paulie's always scheming something. I'm just happy I got to put her in her place this morning." Sam replied with a smile.

"Eh. Forget her. Lets just get to our next classes." Danny informed his friends. They started going their separate ways down the halls when Danny heard something swiftly approaching him! Rampaging down the halls like an elephant or a rhino! Since his Ghost Sense wasn't triggered that left only one possibility!

"FEEEEEN-TOOOOONNNN!"

"DO YOU SERIOUSLY NOT HAVE ANY HOBBIES?" Danny yelled at Dash before turning around and booking it. "Seriously Dash, GET A LIFE!"

"I'LL GET ONE RIGHT AFTER I DESTROY YOURS!"

"SEE? THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" Danny knew for a fact that his Ghost Powers could easily overwhelm Dash in countless ways but that just wasn't his style. He wasn't anything like Vlad or his Evil Self after all. He could easily use his powers to escape but there too many people around to see it. So his only option was to run like the wind until he lost Dash or found somewhere to hide and then he could vanish.

"Uuurrrgggh! That jerk's never going to change!" Sam growled and turned around to run after Danny. Tucker following suit the moment he heard the Bully King of Casper High screaming for Danny.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Angelique was in the middle of a conversation with the two girls when she stopped and listened. Her hearing easily picking up Dash's enraged screaming and Danny's responses. "My my."

"Is something wrong?" Rebecca questioned.

"Hey did you hear that?" Hanna asked. "Is it a Ghost?"

"Don't worry about. Just go on ahead to class. I'll catch up to you guys later."

"Later? Where are you going?"

"I'm going to resolve this morning's altercation."

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Danny kept running from Dash around the school and down and around hallways until he found an open empty classroom and he quickly ran inside and slammed the door behind him and turned out the lights. He breathed a sigh of relief. (OKay....finally...finally lost him....now I just need to duck into the closet, Go Ghost, and slip over to my next class.)  That was the plan anyway until the lights flipped back on and Danny was kicked in the back by Kwan! He stumbled forward and fell on his knees but he got back up and looked back to see Dash's friend had been waiting in the classroom. "Oh great. Another moron."

"Sorry, Fenton, but Dash isn't going to calm down until he gets it out of his system. So you might as well remember your place in the world."

"Forget it!" He called back and ran for the door only for one of Dash's friends to jump out and slam his hands against the door. "BOO!" He called out. Danny backed off as Dale and Dash came around the corner and Kwan opened up the door and let them in. The other bully remaining outside to block entry.

"Nobody's coming to save you this time, nerd! No getting away either! It's time to make your medicine!" Dash threatened while punching his fist into his hand.

"Whooo yeah! Lets wring him like a towel and throw him out the window!" Dale added.

"Back off, doordash, I'm not in the mood for this!

"TOO BAD! I'm The KING Of Casper High and what I say GOES!" Dash shouted and charged at him with a wild punch that Danny sidestepped and then he stuck out his foot and tripped Dash and shoved him towards a wall. He recovered but bumped against it and turned back to face Danny with a look of surprise. Even without his Super Powers, Danny was the one with actual repeated combat experience against a variety of super powered foes while Dash was just a bumbling thug at his core.

"GET HIM!"

Unfortunately, he was a bumbling thug with friends. Dale charged at him from the side while Kwan charged him from the front and Danny dived in between them, scrambled on top of a desk and began leaping from desk to desk while the bullies reunited and chased after him alongside Dash who was running towards the door and blocked it off. "Where you gonna go, Fenton? HUH? You're dead and you know it!"

Danny ignored Dash and balanced on top of a desk while Dale charged down the row towards him and Kwan did the same from the other side so Danny responded by leaping towards another desk at a diagonal angle from him and he managed to land on it and jump off and roll across the floor to get back to his feet just in time to duck back down as Kwan threw a desk at him! It whizzed through the air narrowly missing Danny's head and crashed against the wall.

"ARE YOU GUYS PSYCHOTIC?!" Danny shouted at them.

"Nope! Just efficient in Nerd-Bashing!" Kwan chided him and ran towards Danny and began swinging at him but Danny began slipping his punches, dodging out of the way until he finally dropped down and tripped Kwan and sent him sprawling to the floor! He crashed down on the floor but he managed to get back up while Dale and Dash began closing in on him. Dale from the front, Kwan from the right and Dash from the left.

"You're just adding more debts to your tab!"

Danny was getting ready to fight when they heard a cry outside and the door swung open so hard it smashed against the wall and Kenny, the jock that Dash had posted outside of the room, came flying into the room! He landed hard on the floor and Angelique Barrett walked into the room. Danny immediately made a break for it, shoving past Dale and across the classroom to stand side-by-side with her. "Please tell me you're on my side!"

"Don't worry about a thing, Danny, I've got this." She slid off her backpack and handed it to Danny. "Hold this for me would you? This won't take long." Angelique told him with complete confidence. It was true. Fuck, even back when she was human she could've handled three or four weaklings like this without breaking a sweat.

"Kenny! Holy cow man are you alright?" Dale asked him.

"...My face hurts." Kenny whined.

"Stay down." She scolded him.

"H-hey! What do you think you're doing?! This was between us and Danny! You're hot enough for a date, I won't deny that, but you're not a fighter and there's three of us! Go on home before you get hurt! I'll pick you up for a date later and we can talk it out then!"

Well that settled it. The Old Kira Hikaru would've definitely killed these guys for that! But, this was New Kira Hikaru and she was in Public, in a School Setting, trying to recruit Danny to help her stop a Demon from whatever evil, likely apocalyptic, plot it had cooking up here in Amity Park. So she would have to be...

...'Gentle'.

Danny...had seen that look before. On a number of his villains. Usually when they thought they had him or when they were about to do something extraordinarily evil or both. It was like the glint of a razor sharp knife shining in the moonlight. A smile that says 'folks, you're gonna die now'. Regardless of how confident or skilled she might be though, it was still three-on-one so Danny gently set her bag down and walked next to Angelique. IF she proved to have Ghost Powers then he'd be the best person to prevent her from going overboard with them. IF NOT he could still mitigate the damage.

"It's over, Dash, pack up your friends and take Kenny to the nurse's office." Danny scolded him.

"Not until you go down first!" He shouted and then pointed at Angelique. "AND YOU! You better apologize right now or else!"

"First of all, brush your teeth, second of all, kindly do humanity the favor of finding a suitable hard object and pulverizing the appropriate portion of your anatomy to ensure future generations are not subjected to the progeny of the utter twaddle that has just oozed out of what I will charitably term your mouth, finally, go back to the ice age and go extinct!"

"Wow. Would you mind if I stole those? For future use?" Danny asked.

"All yours."

"That's it!" Dash called out and charged the two of them and went in for a football tackle only for Angelique to grab him mid-charge, spin with him and redirect his force to send Dash running straight into the wall! "WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH!" He flailed his arms in vain as he tried to stomp himself and only managed to turn a little bit so he only slammed his shoulder into the wall and dropped  to the floor. *BANG!* "OW!"

"Two-on-two. Your move."

"Okay who the hell is this creepy chick?" Kwan demanded. "She just took down Dash and Kenny! Are we sure she's not a Ghost-Freak?"

"I don't care who she is! She's gonna spit teeth for that!" Dale shouted and charged her next and he began swinging at her but just like the others he had no real skill while Kira had plenty of combat experience, training and she was Superhuman besides so she just slipped and dodged his punches with her hands behind her back while humming to herself.  His punches whizzed past her and only struck the air despite Dale's best efforts. "Come on now, you can do better than this can't you?" She taunted and grabbed his wrist and pulled on it and flipped him into the air and he slammed down on the floor. "Guess not." (So this is how they fight in American Schools, huh? That is just sad. Even the riffraff off the street were better than this.)

"Wh-wh...wha...how....why....what?" Kwan stammered and backed away from her and Danny. "What is even happening here?!"

"I'll tell you what's happening. You jerks are getting a taste of your own medicine! Now back off or take a nap on the floor."

"I-I'm not scared of you, Fenton!"

"That's funny because I'm not scared of you either."

"AHHHHHH!" Kwan ran at Danny and tried to punch him but Danny had a plethora of actual combat experience so he just dodged Kwan's punch, kicked him in the stomach and tripped him so he fell against the desks. There was a crashing sound and he stumbled over them landed in a heap. "Owwwww."

"You alright, Kwan?"

"I'm done. Just give me some ice and I'm calling it a day..." The bully moaned out. "You wiiiiin....I-I'm sorry."

"Wow, an actual apology? This really is a brand new day!" Danny joked. "But thanks, Kwan, try and take inspiration from today to change your ways." He brushed off his hands. "Thanks for the backup, Angelique, you really helped me out."

"It's...it's not done yet, Fen-Ton!" Dash called to them while he sat up and rubbed his shoulder. "I'm gonna run you down for this!"

"Are the bodies not a clear indication of how this is gonna go down?" Angelique asked.

"YOU'RE gonna go down!" Dash shot back.

Angelique looked down at Danny. Danny just sighed and rubbed his head. "I'm so sorry. Dash is about as sharp as a bowling ball."

"Dunderhead. Got it."

"...You're a dunderball!" Dash called back and ran towards them and tried to grab them but Danny dashed forward and went into a slide and tripped his feet so Angelique could grab Dash, flip him and throw him over the teacher's desk and onto the chair behind it with the impact causing it to fly backwards and slam against the wall and Dash fell off of it. "Whhaaaaa?"

Angelique brushed her hair out of her face and got up on the desk and sat down on it. Dash scrambled to his feet and tried to grab her but she grabbed his face first, yanked him forward onto the desk and then she shoved him backwards against the backboard. Dash slammed against it and then groaned as he slumped to the floor.

"WHOOOOOO!"

Danny and Angelique turned around to see the students cheering for them from the hallway!

"YYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

"TAKE HIM DOWN FENTON!"

"DID YOU SEE THAT? THAT NEW GIRL'S SOME KIND OF KUNG-FU NINJA!"

"THAT WAS GREAT!"

"THEY JUST GOT SMACKED! THIS IS GREAT!"

"WWWHHHHHOOOOO-HOOOOOO!"

"WE'RE FREE! WE'RE FREE!"

Sam, Tucker and Paulina were in the middle of the crowd. Sam and Tucker were cheering and clapping with the others while Paulina was just staring into the room utterly gobsmacked at what just happened.

Angelique smirked and backflipped off of the desk, landed on her feet, turned around and took a bow to the cheering audience while Danny awkwardly waved and took a seat to take a break. (This...has been quite a day.) He mused internally and finally took a look around the room. Dash, Kwan, Kenny and Dale were down but doing relatively alright. However, a fight was a fight, even if those jerkasses had started it...he knew the staff wouldn't see it that way. Lancer alone would go nuclear when he discovered that someone had not only stood up to but also brought down his precious A-Listers. Not to mention the rest of Dash's cronies would probably want revenge on them for this.

So he might as well enjoy this victory and newfound fame while he could.

Angelique meanwhile simply retrieved her bag and sat back down on the desk across from Danny. "Gotta hand it to you, Danny, you've got some moves."

"You too! You're really slick! Where'd you learn to fight like that?"

"Ohhh just some self-defense classes like I said earlier."

"Cool, cool, cool...but...ummm...I'm sorry you had to get in trouble. Because of me."

"Hey now, the morons started this fight. We just settled it."

"Daaaang new girl you've got some good moves!" Sam complimented her. "You are welcome to hang out with us anytime."

"It might actually be the safest option. Dash's cronies are probably going to go nuclear after this. But for right now I'm glad you're okay. Both of you." Tucker added. "You are okay right, Danny?"

"I'm fine, Tuck, thanks bro."

"Thanks guys, all of you, that was crazy. Are they always this insane?" Angelique questioned.

"Yes!" The trio replied simultaneously.

"Yeah they are!" The other kids added to the conversation outside of the room.

"Th-th-this....this...this isn't...th-this isn't over! It isn't over! You hear me?! You won't get away with this!" Paulina shouted at her and then she turned around and ran off while shoving her way through the other students.

"Wait, what? Who was she?"

"Paulina Sanchez. Standard issue High School Alpha Brat." Sam responded. "Basically just a spoiled brat who's popular because she's rich and mean."

"Omega Female. Got it."

"Uhhh, what's an Omega Female? Isn't that a compliment?"

"Nah, it's a low-status and subordinate female; a female at the bottom of the social hierarchy. All bark but no bite."

"Yeah that sounds about right."

"DANNY!" Jazz cried out as she ran into the room. "Are you alright? Are you okay? What did those jerkwads do?"

"Hey sis!" He stood back up and hugged his sister while fist-bumping Sam. He explained when they both stepped back. "So, basically, Dumb-Dumb threw another baby tantrum over failing a test and tried to take it out on me and chased me around the school until I hid in here and then they all tried to jump me at once. I dodged around them until Angelique dropped Kenny and evened the odds."

"Oh thank God you're okay!" An exasperated Jasmine Fenton sighed with relief. "I'm glad you're okay. I'm glad you're all okay."

"Thanks Jazz. That means a lot." Angelique responded to her.

"Love you too sis." Danny told her sincerely.

"Sooo what happens now?"

Jazz looked around the room. "Are they all okay?"

Sam got up on the desk and looked around at the various jocks before coming to a decision. "They're fine. They'll need a trip to the nurse's office and some time off but they'll recover. Physically anyway. Other than that though their pride is going to be shattered. We should probably-"

"PRIDE AND PREJUDICE! WHAT IN THE GO-BETWEEN HAPPENED HERE?!" Lancer cried out from the doorway.

(What's The Go-Between?) Kira asked Lily.

(A Book by Leslie Poles Hartley about a Victorian-Era kid who gets roped into being the messenger between two lovers in an affair.) Lily summarized.

(O...okaaaay but what the fuck does that have to do with this situation?)

(The moron self-censors around kids and speaks in book exclamations.)

(Huh. That's weird.)

(Because he doesn't swear like a sailor?)

(Hey now! People who fucking swear are more fucking honest. We don't sugarcoat shit. Chidori never did and I don't either.)

(You're lying to their faces.)

(I'm undercover! It's different! Besides, you're a Demon Wand. You're in no place to judge.)

(That's fair. I can swear in languages humans haven't even heard of before.) Lily confessed.

Kira's psionic conversation with her Wand aside, Danny had sighed and held his hands up. "Mr. Lancer, I can explain, this was a very clear cut case of self-defense! Dash was-"

"AND IS! Immune to scorn! You however are not! You children! My office! NOW!"

"I have no intention of turning my back on my friends but I would like to point out that WE!" Sam pointed at herself, Tucker and Jazz. "Just got here! We didn't even fight!"

"If that bratty little toublemaker is responsible then logically so are you! OFFICE! NOW! No arguements!"

"You're being completley unfair!" Tucker insisted.

"What is your problem?" Jazz asked him.

"Why don't you grow up already, baldy?" Angelique asked him. "Dash chased Danny throughout the school, your school, while screaming for Danny's blood and he did everything he could avoid a fight until they cornered and tried to physically assault him while preventing him from leaving. If I'd arrived late or stayed out of it, he would've been seriously hurt. Danny and I fended them off together. These three arrived after the fact. Since they were not involved in the fight they cannot be punished."

"Are you correcting me? I am disappointed in you, Miss Barrett!"

"And we're disappointed in you, Mr. Lancer." Sam shot back at him.

Before they could continue further Principal Ishiyama walked up to the scene. "Alright, that's it, that's it, clear it out, come on now, everybody back to class! Back to class!!" She told the kids and caused the crowd to disperse and then she walked into the room. "Okay! Now, first thing's first, what happened here?"

"Oh, good, you're here! You see Danny was-"

"I wasn't talking to you, Lancer, wait your turn."

"Like we just explained, Dash chased Danny throughout the school, your school, while screaming for Danny's blood and he did everything he could avoid a fight until they cornered and tried to physically assault him while preventing him from leaving. If I'd arrived late or stayed out of it, he would've been seriously hurt. Danny and I fended them off together. These three arrived after the fact. Since they were not involved in the fight they cannot be punished." Angelique explained to Ishiyama.

"That's right. I didn't do anything! I was running for my life, the same as EVERY time I can at this sham of a school when I don't just get jumped by Lancer's hitsquad!" Danny added. "I only fought back because I'm pretty sure those psychos were going to kill me! KIM THREW A DESK AT MY HEAD!"

"What did you just say to me you little-"

"SHUT IT LANCER!" Danny and Jazz shouted him down.

"Hey, Principal, ya wanna stop bullying?" Sam asked them. "HOW ABOUT YOU ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND STOP ENABLING IT? AND WHILE YOU'RE AT IT STOP PUNISHING VICTIMS AS IF THEY DID SOMETHING WRONG?!" She shouted. "I find it laughably hilarious how schools LOVE, ABSOLUTELY LOVE, to preach anti bullying messages and try to "Discourage" bullying but if a kid is actually being bullied they do jack squat to stop it. They either try to help the victim get help in some way such as a counselor or something but do very little to the bully! Ya know, the one causing the victim their problems in the 1st place? Also STOP PUNISHING VICTIM!S!!! Why is it when a kid is being whaled on by some jerkwad kid the second that kid hits back they get an equal or sometimes worse punishment then the kid who was beating them HOW THE HELL IS THAT FAIR!?. Like what do schools hope to achieve buy doing that? All that does it make kids not wanna speak up about it or defend themselves because your teaching them "oh if you defend yourself you'll be punished" like seriously all your doing is discouraging kids from standing up for themselves!  The truth of it all is schools don't care if a kids' being bullied cause if they did none of these problems would exist." She ranted at them. Putting the two of them on roast and on the spot right then and there.

"Uh...uhm...w-well..." Lancer stammered out in response.

"I...aahhhh...w-welll you see Miss Mason...the situation is a bit..."

Angelique retrieved her bag during the rant, unzipped it, took out a blacked out thermos bottle, unzipped it and drank down her brain drink before closing it up.

"Furthermore, while it's true that we did get into a fight, considering the circumstances, it's a very clear cut case of self-defense of themselves and each other. Dash DID chase after Danny around the school while screaming for his head, obviously seen and heard by EVERYONE! He DID bring in members of his gang to beat him up worse. Kenny DID block off the door to prevent Danny from escaping when Kwan cornered him and then let two more bullies into the room to beat Danny up. Kwan DID corner Danny in the room, attacked him unprovoked and joined in on the attack with Dash and Dale. Dale DID join in on a gang attack on one unarmed teenager who was smaller and weaker than they were for no reason. Danny is only guilty of self-defense despite Lancer's stupidity and this AFTER he retreated from the fight initially and did everything he could to avoid conflict."

She paused before continuing. "As I'm sure you're aware, Miss Principal, except in limited circumstances, a person has a duty to retreat before using force to defend himself. Retreating can take several forms including calling for assistance, holding the attacker at bay until help arrives, or simply walking away. Self-defense is permissible when there is an emergency situation that necessitates action that is usually illegal. Therefore, once the emergency abates, the privilege to use force also goes away. Self-defense also is not a justification in the event of mutual combat. If two people make the decision to engage in a fistfight, for example, neither of them made reasonable efforts to avoid combat and neither can claim he was acting in self-defense. If, however, one of the fighters attempts to use deadly force during the brawl, the other fighter can then continue to use force to defend himself."

She paused to smile at the principals. "Since Danny did everything he could to avoid conflict and was still hunted down, attacked and cornered, not to mention Kwan literally throwing a desk at him, on top of not being allowed to leave, Danny can legally be argued that he was in genuine fear for his life and responded with appropriate force. The fact that Dash and his friends have bullied and attacked and threatened Danny repeatedly on multiple occassions prior to today makes it even more reasonable. Granted, I did get involved but an individual has the legal right to use reasonable force to defend another person who is the victim (or about to be the victim) of an assault. The rule is a person can use force to defend another person if that person would be justified in using force himself in self-defense. I dealt with Kenny who was actively preventing Danny from fleeing the scene for his own safety and then deflected an attempt at bodily harm from Dash by redirecting him into a wall. Despite being given multiple chances to stop the fight the bullies persisted repeatedly and were dealt with appropriately."

She sipped more of her drink before continuing. "Heretofore, the two of us are legally in the clear. There were multiple witnesses to the attack, to Dash's actions prior to the attack and Danny defending himself. Soooo...you can TRY to get them into trouble for this...buuuut the Law would be on our side and we could easily take this to court,  and we would have a veritable ARMY of witnesses not just to the bullying antics of the bullies but also the staff turning a blind eye to all of it which would be a PR Nightmare for Casper High that would only get worse with the resulting social media frenzy the five of us could cook up with just a few minutes on our phones. Casper High might survive but you jobs/reputations will NOT!"

"Heck, Tucker and I have been recording this whole conversation." Jazz added with a smirk while holding up her phone to Ishiyama and Lancer.

"Smiiiiille!" Tucker taunted them. "If you want to play this game with us? We can destroy your jobs and this school's reputation."

"Of course, if you're willing to wave this and actually punish the bullies for once, with, say, a few weeks to a month or two of suspension followed by another in detention and taking away their special priveleges....we miiight be persuaded to keep it to ourselves and off of Social Media."

"Won't take too long for you and the school to get roasted."

"Oh and I'm sure there would be stories upon stories of the A-Listers picking on innocent kids who would loooove to come forward and discuss their treatment at the hands of the bullies. It'll be an avalanche. Picking up and more speed until it buries Casper High and the two of you." Sam informed them.

"So what's it gonna be, Miss Principal, call or fold?" Angelique challenged.

"M-Miss....Miss...Ishi-Ishiyama...you cann't seriously be considering this! Th-think about it! The games...the big games...they bring in revenue for the school! We need them!"

"After careful consideration I have decided to wave Danny's and Angelique's part in this as being a case of self-defense and that the bullies were...quite clearly in the wrong here...soooo....I'll let you go. So long as you help us get these young men to the Nurse's Office. Rest assured they will be thoroughly punished for their actions here today and we will take great pains to shut down any future attempts at bullying."

"Deal." Angelique finished her drink and slipped it back into her bag and zipped it back up. "As you were, Lancer, as you were."

Jazz and Tucker smiled and put away their phones.

Sam and Danny high-fived and then grabbed Kwan while Angelique carried Dash over to Lancer and stuffed him into his arms.

The kids assisted each other with carrying the groaning bullies out of the room with smiles on their face
